Ayrton Senna, easily one of the greats of all time, took the Marlboro McLaren to 3 championships from 1988 to 1993, all of those with Honda power. I had the privilege of being there for a number of his races and wins of that era and will never forget them.
I concentrated on staying loose and avoid looking at photographs or even detailed sketches while painting to avoid a particular year or version of the MP4.
The title "Zenna" is a nod to his ability, while driving, to enter a higher state of consciousness:
“And suddenly I realized that I was no longer driving the car consciously. I was driving it by a kind of instinct, only I was in a different dimension.” (Monaco 1988).
